Journaling about spring

My last post was about journaling as therapy and how the season of spring can be tied into this as a part of the healing process. The season of spring and all the other seasons can be an important part of the journaling process. Since we began to talk about spring, let’s expand on that. There is something special about this season. Winter is finished; there is new life; new growth; the feeling of rejuvenation and everything is green.

The color green can create quite a soothing effect but green is also about growth. The showers in spring also make everything fresh and may give us the feeling that we can start anew. This is the time that many people spring clean their homes in an organized way and the same can be done for our lives. We can organize to clean out our old habits and start new traditions.

Spring can have a real significance in our lives in terms of celebrating the rebirth of ourselves. The green of spring may mean growth but it can also mean go! Go ahead and explore something new and journal about it.

Remember there is nothing like words in black and white to help you see where you are and where you are going.
